KRONE BiG M 450 CV
The Power of Three Collector Building Set
Rebuild a modern forage-harvesting powerhouse — one self-propelled machine, three mower units, nearly ten metres of working width, and the engineering needed to turn huge fields into clean-cut forage efficiently.
The Power of Three
Three Mowers. One Self-Propelled Machine.
The BiG M 450 is not a tractor pulling a mower. The entire machine is designed around mowing.
One front mower and two wide side units work together to create the unmistakable three-part silhouette that defines the BiG M.
Instead of adding more equipment behind a tractor, KRONE built the power unit, cab, running gear, cutting system, and conditioning technology into one purpose-designed harvesting machine.
INSPIRED BY A SELF-PROPELLED MOWER STORY THAT BEGAN IN 1996
KRONE Built the Machine Around the Mowers
KRONE unveiled the first BiG M in 1996. More than two decades later, the fifth-generation BiG M 450 arrived with greater working width, modern hydrostatic drive technology, improved mower control, and 449 horsepower.

What “CV” Means
Cutting the Crop Is Only the First Job
The letters CV identify the version equipped with KRONE's high-performance tine conditioner.
Behind the cutterbar, V-shaped steel tines process the freshly cut crop across the mower's working width. The purpose is to condition the plant material so moisture can escape more efficiently during wilting.
That makes the BiG M 450 CV more than a wide mower — it combines cutting and forage preparation in the same field operation.
THREE CUTTING UNITS — ONE INTEGRATED DRIVELINE
Power Goes Where the Work Is Happening
On the real BiG M 450, engine power is distributed directly to the three mower units through the machine's driveline. The wide front unit and two side units work together to create nearly ten metres of cutting width, allowing the machine to cover enormous areas efficiently.
Details That Define the Machine
From the Panoramic Cab to the Triple Mower Layout
🪟 Panoramic Operator Cab
The large glazed cab recreates the excellent visibility required to watch the front mower, both side units, and the surrounding field.
🌾 Three-Part Mower System
A wide front mower and two side-mounted units create the machine's defining working stance and turn the finished model into something completely different from a conventional tractor.
⚙️ Visible Linkage & Mower Geometry
Arms, joints, structural members, and mower connections recreate the complex mechanical architecture needed to position three cutting units around one chassis.
🛞 Deep-Tread Agricultural Tires
Large black field tires with yellow wheels give the model the planted stance associated with a machine designed to work across demanding grassland.
🟡 KRONE Green & Yellow Styling
Dark agricultural green and warm mower yellow make the machine immediately recognizable even before the three mower units are fully visible.

Big Doesn't Mean Clumsy
Built Wide in the Field — Designed to Stay Agile
A working width close to ten metres sounds enormous, but the BiG M concept was also developed around manoeuvrability.
Hydraulic wheel motors, a low centre of gravity, and carefully distributed machine weight help the real BiG M move through large fields, slopes, and even tighter working areas.
That contrast is part of the appeal: enormous when the mowers are spread, yet still clearly designed as one coordinated machine.
A CONCEPT BUILT AROUND COVERING GROUND
The BiG M Name Has a Record-Breaking Past
Long before the current BiG M 450 generation, KRONE used the self-propelled mower concept to demonstrate just how much grass one machine could cut. In 1999, a BiG M covered 315.1 hectares in 24 hours and also achieved 15.2 hectares in one hour — achievements later recorded by Guinness.
Build the Power of Three
This Build Spreads Out Before It Comes Together
Start with the central chassis, cab, engine body, wheel assemblies, and structural frame that form the heart of the machine.
Then the character of the BiG M really starts to appear: build the broad front mower, add the left and right mower arms, and connect the two side cutting units until the model reaches its full working stance.
The finished footprint is part of the reward. This is a machine designed to look wide, mechanical, and purposeful.
A Different Kind of Machinery Display
Three Mowers Give It a Shelf Presence a Tractor Can't Copy
Most farm models build their visual weight from a long hood or oversized rear wheels. The BiG M does something completely different.
Its display presence comes from width: one central machine with mower units extending to the front, left, and right.
That makes it especially distinctive in a collector room, home office, wide display shelf, hobby workshop, or farm-themed space.

A Gift for Forage Machinery People
For the Person Who Knows a Mower Can Be More Interesting Than a Tractor
The BiG M occupies a very different place in agricultural machinery culture.
It is purpose-built around forage harvesting, recognizable by its three mower units, and backed by a self-propelled mower story that stretches back to the 1990s.
For contractors, forage farmers, machinery enthusiasts, and adult builders, that gives this model a clear identity beyond simply being another green farm machine.
A strong choice for:
- KRONE machinery enthusiasts
- Forage harvesting and hay equipment fans
- Farm machinery collectors
- Contractors and agricultural families
- Adult brick-building enthusiasts
- Christmas, birthdays, Father’s Day, or farm-themed gifts
